Thanks Guys
I went to the local auto store and used there "loan a tool program" the
calipers were back in in about 5 minutes. I was worried at the start because
each one was realy tight for abouta quarter of a turn and thought I had
seized calipers, after the quarter each one went in like butter. Guess I was
about due. I have done this before but some advice for those thinking of it.
Do one side at a time.
Many years ago when I did this I took both disks and pads off, ready to
use the tool, pushed the one caliper back in really easily, and didn't of
course I here the other caliper piston on the other side of the car hit the
floor!. I was so mad at myself but all I could do was kill myself laughing
because I was such a loser. here I had just blown out my caliper and all I
thought was " did any body see that ? !. This time I had pieces of" two by
four" in the caliper while I did the opposite side... experience speaks
volumes... anyway you were all right of course and I didn't even bother with
the cable. I will of course have to recheck the tension, but good tipabout
the ABS stuff. Will have to check
Anybody know where the sensor pad wear indicator wire goes to for the
front. looks like PO never had it connected and I can't find the wire
harness anywhere, just the wire hanging from the pad.
Clive
