I use a pressure bleeder for purging brake fluid. I don't bother removing fluid from reservoir first. I alternate colors for determining when the old fluid has come through the clear tygon tubing that I attach to the bleed nipple on each wheel caliper. Be sure and place the end of tubing in the old fluid to prevent air from re-entering. Removing old fluid from reservoir and then filling with new before bleeding system is probably the better way to go. I can't remember if my '93 100 CSQ avant has a filter in the reservoir.
