No, it's not a $400 repair. If it's the return mechanism on the ignition
switch then the part costs about $40 and the repair time is either one hour
or one and a half hours. Had the same type of problem on the wife's A6Q
earlier this year and it was repaired for a little less than $140. If you
look through the archives over the past month you should find postings on how
to replace this part yourself.
