Thanks everyone for the responses. And thanks Craig for clarifying the bit
about the lens vs. assembly.
A couple of questions:
1. I pulled the left fog light out today, to see if I could test if power
was getting to it. I ended up not getting any... at least when I tried
putting the test leads in various ways into the connector i.e. there are
two holes/round female pin slots that I put the test leads in,with the car
running and the switch depressed. Is that correct... by putting the test
leads into those two pin slots... I should have gotten a reading? Or for
some reason are both of those positive, and I need to jump them and then
also find a ground? Anyone familiar with how to test the connection? I'd
rather try to test it before I shell out $$ for new lenses or assemblies.
2. What have you found to be the best way to remove the fog light switch? I
believe that you have to slip something thin on the top and bottom of the
switch to release it. What have you used? Feeler gauges? Something else?
Once I get the switch out, does anyone know the pin positions that I should
test to ensure that the switch is good? Does anyone have the part number
for a new switch, just in case I need to order a new one?
Any thoughts/suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.
