[V6-12v] Fog lights

Jim,
For (1), I assume you had the low beam headlights on also? If so, then you
are not getting juice to the lights, or the ground is bad. The fogs use a H3
bulb, which has one lead (positive), and uses its body to ground. The fog
light assembly itself is grounded through the second lead in the plug. Also,
just for background, are your foglights factory installed? The "S" models
did not get them, and were not an option. I installed mine aftermarket,
using a the two lights, generic Bosch relay, self-made wiring harness, and
OEM switch assembly.

The switch is removed most easily by popping the vent above it out. The vent
can be pulled using 2 coat hanger-type wires with their ends bent into
hooks. Slip the hooks inside the louvers, latch them onto something solid,
and pull out. Then the top of the switch is more accessible to pull out. The
part number for the switch is 893941535. They are pretty cheap (under $15),
and I think I bought mine at Impex (http://www.impexfap.com) back in the
late '90s when I installed mine.

Craig
