Actually, this occurred to me recently also. I'm in the UK, so there are 
probably not so many people on the list from my neck of the woods, but I'd been 
thinking about some of the Audi 'Special Tools' that are neccessary for working 
on this engine in particular. Most notably the tools for setting the valve 
timing (3243 for holding the cams in position, 3242 for holding the crank in 
position), as the procedure can't be performed successfully without them, but they 
are quite expensive to buy relative to the amount of times one person would 
use them. However, if anyone has them and would be prepared to rent them, or is 
interested in a group buy, (I know an Audi dealer who will happily supply 
special tools in the UK) maybe it's something we could help each other out with 
and save ourselves a lot of dough on Audi workshop prices?
