[V6-12v] Temp. gage reading low, trouble code 2312

I just replaced my thermostat on a 1993 90 Quattro Sport. I used these
instructions as a guideline (thank you to the author), but I feel it can be
improved a bit:

First of all I'm not sure for which car the original BTDT was written but
for a 93 90q you must remove the fans and shroud as one piece off the
radiator in order to do any work to the front of the engine. So do this
first. Not too difficult, just three bolts on top and don't forget to
disconnect the wires below, of course the belly pan has to be removed
first..

The other additional step I would add to the procedure would be to loosen
the timing belt adjustment. This allows the timing belt to be moved out of
the way and the thermostat housing comes out very easily. Don't forget to
re-adjust the timing belt tension when your done.

Apart from the above this procedure was spot on. The whole job should take
no more than a couple of hours with no interruptions. This is assuming you
have worked on these cars before.

Cheers

Lino
