I thonk you need a running compressor, but I am not certain . I know for
sure you need a running compressor to perform a leak test. Stay in touch
about any AC info you find out , as mine just packed it up last week .
PS I also just had my CV boot "explode". After I cleaned up the CV grease
from my suspension ( what a mess) I got the shaft out with your procedure
( excellent by the way ) . When I took the inner piece out I noticed
afterwards it is rescessed somewhat on one side. Do you know if this side
faces the car or the wheel ..Anyone else know .....anyone........anyone....
