Martin, There seems to be a dead link on your site:
<http://www.44magnum.czweb.org/en/enginediage.html>
returns "Chyba 404 - soubor nebyl nalezen"
(404 - page not found.?)
I just had the engine VAG-COM scanned, with no codes.
But when I connected the red wire to the ECU (I bought the
car with a bad ECU and wiring harness. I had to splice in
a new harness and connect a new (used) ECU to get the car
to run. A few wires were corroded and not connected; the
red wire (#20?) being one of them), the Check Engine light
came on and the car started running poorly, even worse than
before.
I replaced the ignition coil pack with no change.
Next I'll try new spark plugs.
