[V6-12v] A4 Tire Size Q

Hello all, I don't post too often to this list, but I've read some
interresting posts that made me more knowledgeable.

I have an Audi A4 Quattro 1997 with 205-55R16 tires mounted on it. Being
larger, would 225 50R16 fit and not rub?

I know they are the same overall diameter, but since I am new to the Audi
world, I'd like to ask if there is any indication to going 225 instead of
205?

I searched a bunch of sites and sarchives, but I could not get any answer.
