[V6-12v] v6-12 to 1.8T engine conversion

I've never tried that or heard of it, but some of the others on here may
have. I reckon it'd be a bitch of a conversion though. The ECU and
connectors, mounts, exhausts and everything are so totally non-compatible,
it's not even like exchanging a 4-cyl for a different 4-cyl. I reckon you're
better off seeing if you can get another V6 from breaker's yard, or a
reconditioned unit. They are around and it'd save you so much hassle! Plus
that V6 is still a lovely engine. Any idea why the old one blew, by the way?
Depending on what 'blew' you can also buy complete, or part, cyl heads which
are surprisingly reasonable. Get back to me if you're interested in one
because I have a supplier in mind that I saw recently.
