[V6-12v] Ignition Switch

Richard,

I know I've typed up the procedure for this several times for the list. Try searching the archives. The procedure might also be available from www.12v.org.

There are two procedures:

1a) Defuse bomb (disconnect battery, disarm airbag, remove airbag)
1b) Remove steering wheel
1c) Remove plastic around the column switches
1d) Remove switches
1e) Remove instrument cluster
1f) Replace ign switch, burnt out instrument bulbs, etc.

2a) Remove plastic around column switches
2b) Viggle instrument cluster past steering wheel
2c) Replace ign switch, burnt out bulbs, etc.

Above are highlights. You'll find more details in the list archives. Bentley recommends procedure 1. That's the procedure I followed. But supposedly, procedure 2 works as well.
