Luckily, my 1995 Audi 90 just passed the emissions test an hour ago. But, there is something that I just realized and could spell emissions test problems for people around the country. Because a number of refineries were knocked out after the hurricanes in the gulf. the EPA relaxed the gasoline blend distribution restrictions for parts of the country. I do not know what the sensitivity of the emissions testing equipment is, but, it may be that if a particular region of the country is not getting the blend for which the machines are calibrated, one may see anomalies in the results.

Just a thought and a theory.

My son got a replacement catalytic converter from Summit Racing for his 87
5ktq. I believe it cost around $130. They have a universal series of
converters from which you try to match the dimensions of the existing
converter. A local shop mounted it for him. They did a pretty good job.
