Hello All,

I'm back in the Audi fold after a long hiatus... this
time it's a 93 100csqa i bought for extremely short
money... and it looks it.... and drives like it...

Yes, I'm a bit nuts... this is gonna be the errand
car... home depot, the dump, my parents cabin in the
woods car....

starting fixing mechanicals this week.. body will get
a quicky, clean up the surface rust and quick white
primer for the time being...

okay, couple of questions and observations after
reading the archives for the v6 12v car.

Timing Belt... I'm gonna take a look at the motor for
doing the Miata style swap.. unless somebody has
looked into this already and can tell me, don't do it
:)

Seems too easy....

Car is Alpine White with tan leather interior, nice 10
spoke Audi wheels(probably the nicest part of the car)
bose with cd player... it works rather well with no
popping...

suspension has new shocks and tie rod ends, I just
installed new control arms and ball joints, have not
driven it yet... hopefully that fixed the wobble at
60+

waiting for a new A/C hose to get installed... leaks
like a sieve...

cruise doesn't work... don't really care... at the
moment anyway :)

Everything else works good though... all the windows,
lights, rear wiper and squirters, seat heaters...

1st Big Bummer.... it was low on oil when i test
drove it... after i got it home, i filled it up with
a quart and a half... I know understand why it was
low... leaks bad from behind the motor... worst case
is rear main seal is toast..

what else on the back of a v6 leaks back there ? not
looking forward to that project... debating on just
feeding it cheap oil for awhile..

Question on the body, the side mouldings are coming
off... the clips are broken, bought new clips... but
the real issue is the mouldings themselves.. where the
clips connect to the moulding is all rusted.... will
newer mouldings from a 95+ a6 fit ?

thanks

Mike
