I think the headlight warning setup on the C4 and later body styles is 
different from the earlier models. When I took a look at euro lights and 
harness for the wife's 95 A6 I found that the later cars had a bulb 
monitoring unit rather than just a relay. Blauparts sells a modified bulb 
monitoring unit for a little over $100. I don't know what the modification 
consists since I didn't look into it any further.
