[V6-12v] Bad fuel pump???

Lino,

Why the frowny face? The fuel filter is pretty easy to get to. I
suggest placing the rear on jack stands when you do this, but I
suppose a block or one of those ramps or a high curb would work as
well. Get under there. A couple of twists with a wrench and you have
the filter out. Just remember to replace the copper washers. Also
remember to wear eye protection. Getting gas in your eyes is rather
painful. Some people say it's helpful to loosen the gas cap before you
start to relieve pressure.

The whole operation isn't worse than an oil change. Allow 15-20
minutes + tool clean-up for the procedure.

There are apparently two different filters used for this car. Make
sure you get the right one. The filter is pretty cheap. $10-15 or so.
The copper washers come to less than a buck at the stealership.
