Actually, if you are trying to combat corrosion at the connectors for
an Audi, there's a specialty version of dielectric grease that
contains suspended micro-particles of zinc available from a few
different manufacturers (such as Noalox from Ideal Products in the
USA). The zinc cuts/abraids the oxidized surface of aluminum
connectors when they push together, creating a fresh patch of non-
oxidized aluminum, and the dielectric grease it's embedded in keeps
oxygen from immediately oxidizing the surface again. Cheap, good
solution once you get any serious oxidation off the surface... worked
wonders for my blinker and tail light connectors as well, ridding me
of a previously regular problem of them getting oxidized...
