The allen wrench bolt ws just stubborn and the mechanic did not want to force it too much - it finally cooperated.

 Well, the mechanic is here and we are trying to find out the best way to replace the starter.  It seems as if the belt and alternator have to come outl.  However, there does not seem to be a good way to loosen the belt tensioner.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
