This really sounds like the effects of a crummy oil filter and/or  
wrong oil viscosity.  I always buy Mann or Mahle filters from  
Adriondac (www.germanautoparts.com) or autohausaz.com and have had  
good luck.  They have the proper bypass and anti-drainback valves  
that are important to the proper function and longevity of our  
engines.  They also have MUCH more filter material inside the can as  
well as a stronger can that can survive Audi's really high oil  
pressures.
