Clive,
I have not built a coolant pressure tester, but I did build a pressure
brake bleeder from a garden sprayer. I'd think you could do the same
for a coolant pressure tester. You can get everything you need
including the pressure gauge from your local garden/hardware center.
I seem to recall using 1/4" ID tubing for the job. Makes it easy as
hose adaptors are readily available.
If you need it, I can send you some pictures tonight.
