[V6-12v] no start

I had the same problem with my starter as Tom Christiansen.  However, you should have heard some noise from the starter being engaged all the time while the car was running and you would have probably smelled the burning starter - very acrid smell, sort of like burning rubber. 

The tapping of the starter works, sometimes, with stuck ones,  However, you have to replace it, because after a while it will not respond to the tapping.

260,000km 

not turning over , battery fine. Think it is starter motor or relay.
 Will update when I have more info.
