[V6-12v] Any Experience with Amsoil Products?

Leaking oil after switching to synthetics:

The threat isn't from synthetics inherently, but from the potentially  
higher detergent levels in them. For many engines, sludge deposits  
have formed anywhere an oil gasket might leak, plugging up that leak.  
Additionally, sludge deposits may have formed in other nooks &  
crannies, depriving the seals in those locations from fresh oil to  
help keep the seals fresh.
When you switch to an extremely high detergent level oil (synthetic  
or otherwise), it can reliquify these deposits, exposing the  
defective seal underneath and causing what would appear to be a leak.  
The reality is that the oil is not the cause of the leak; it merely  
uncovered a previously masked issue that was already present.
