[V6-12v] OK, I have the CD player for my 96 A4...but where the heck is that connector?

Hi Austin,
not much help, but yes - I remember you do  have to pull up the lining/carpet from the left side of the car to find the cable -it involves some fishing around. I believe it is towards the back of the trunk/inside on the left side...

Hi,

Has anyone actually fished the connector out of the car to hook up the CD
player (who didn't have one originally) for a 96 A4?  I can't find the
connector for the life of me.  Now, I didn't rip out the insulation off the
side of the trunk yet...but if I had some good idea of where this
cable/connector should be, like underneath the tool well, that would be
quite helpful in finding it.
