[V6-12v] Audi 2002 A8

There is a 2002 Audi A8 being sold for a reasonable price in my local area.  What is this group's opinion of this particular model and year?  Any comments and points of view are welcomed.  

How do I check for flood damage?  With all the disasters that have happened in the past few years, I am trying to keep my guard up against potential fraud.  Sometime ago there was a list of vehicles and VIN numbers of cars that had been in the North Carolina hurricane flooding area.  We now have New Orleans and some midwestern states to add to that list.  I wonder if it has been kept up to date.
