[V8] Idle Stablization

... when it comes to the ISV, over time any attempt to add lubricant would
tend to create more sluggishness ... I usually see what can be done to
*clean* the ISV. Rather than looking for lube, you might want to start with
throttle body cleaner or similar. There was some discussion of a new design
ISV being available ... if you found that you needed a new ISV you might
want to investigate this new and improved part ...

I found an interesting means to observe the operation of the ISV ... one of
the output diagnostic channels opens and closes the ISV on a regular basis.
This works even with the ISV detached from the IM but connected to the
wiring harness ...

I read your post again ... and it isn't clear to me that the ISV is even
where you should be looking ... any time the throttle is depressed the ISV
is disengaged ... if it was idling properly before the attempt to "drive
off" then the ISV is probably OK. Are you sure you don't have a temp sensor
that is giving a bad reading ... or perhaps a malfunctioning or misadjusted
TPS?
