[V8] Hall Sensor [was cam speed sensor]

... good job of detailing the diagnostic process!  The fact of the matter is
that Hall Senders do fail.  I had the Hall Sender code on #344 until I
swapped the right distributor from #2's dead engine.  I've heard others who
have had similar Hall Sender failures on V8s and other Audis (most I-5T's
have a Hall Sender in the distributor).  I never really noticed any change
in the operation of the V8 after the dizzy swap ... just got rid of the
code.
