[V8] speedo whacko

I thought about that, but when it got worse after I started messing with it I
assumed I was in the right area. I am going to hook on some wires tonight so I
can read voltages while driving. That should show me what is up I hope.
I am having a hard time convincing myself that it is a connection problem at
the IC connectors because this seems to be a common problem, and if those
connectors really have oxidation problems, why is it always the speedo wire
that goes bad? All other functions on my IC seem to be OK with the possible
exception that the fuel guage does not go all the way to full after a fillup.
It stops at a little over 7/8ths reading. I think that is the sender because it
started years ago when I cleaned my fuel pump screen.
