[V8] air bag modules in back bench

Looking for info on where to find modules for sale under rear bench.
According to EBahn Bentley the earlier vin numbered v8 have 2 modules
associated with the air bag - .  The later vin numbers did away with these
modules.  My mechanic says these modules are missing from my car and I need
to replace them for the air bag to work again.
