[V8] 5 speed conversion!

Gents, I need a little info.  The slushbox is in the beginning of the
end.  I want to do a 5-speed conversion.  I have shopped a few tranny's,
from an 87 5000 TQ to a 96 S-6.  Which transmission is the most
compatible?  I believe they will both bolt up.  The V8 5-speed has an
oil pump and cooling system that operates from the front Diff.  What is
the best choice of 5 speed for this application?
