hey guys,
My 90v8q has been acting up lately. When at idle (especially in gear,
progressivly getting worse) it will stumble and skip sometimes grouped
closely together sometimes just a single miss. Also when I get to 40 mph and
above it bogs when I accelerate anything past a hair touch to the pedal I
feel a pretty significant loss in acceleration power and it seems much more
prone to this when it's wet out. The bogging sensation is mainly felt and
heard through my scorpion exhaust (the added volume of which has helped to
notice this problem) It's really a bummer cause now I am babying the hell
out of her out of the obvious fear that whatever misfire/flooding/whatever
is doing damage. A couple weeks ago I cleaned out the airbox intensivly and
the bogging seemed to go away, however it remained very dry during that time
period also and like I said it seems worse when wet out. The condition as a
whole is getting worse and my fuel economy has dropped about 6miles per
gallon. NO JOKE! I just had a motor-vac done, O2 sensor, plugs, timing
checked, mass air-flow cleaned etc. No wires or cap/rotor though as P.O.
told me they were done a year ago. So my question is where else to look. I
know my cap/rotor and wires could be bad but I don't wanna spend 350 bucks
to find out there not. The symptons are not predictable only that sometimes
the bogging is triggered by rain but not always, I'm losing my mind not
being able to pinpoint even where to begin looking! Please if anyone can
shed some light or needs more details to do so I would love any input.
TIA

Again Thanks
