[V8] installing spring / fog up

If you have long, thin arms, and if all you need is to rehook the spring
(because an end broke off the spring and you formed a new one or got a new
spring), you can do it without taking out the glovebox. If you have short,
fat arms like I do and need to get two hands up in there to repair a broken
plastic anchor for the spring (ie, if you find the spring with both end
loops intact), you need to remove the glovebox. That's not a REAL biggie:
take off the dash end cover and you can visualize the screws you have to
loosen in the top of the glovebox to get it to slide sideways and out.
