[V8] installing spring / fog up

I had the passenger seat out when I did mine.  There is one small bit of trim to remove, but it's not difficult.  I used the same spring, just curled on of the coils into a new hook.

Okay,  I'm sick of being the frosty mug.  Is there a simple way to 
install the spring on the recirc vent.    Keith of AC said I could do 
this without removing the glove compartment.  Need to get this done or 
I think I'll duct tape the thing closed !!!
