Dave,

Nope!  You've got me confused with your terminology here.  The ECU is under
the Driver's side Dash as is the Auto trans unit (which you don't have).
I'm guessing this is what got wet?  The only control unit under the rear
seat is the ABS control unit.

Whatcha smokin' there, Dave? ;-)

PS.  I think you can use an ECU for an automatic in these cars without a
problem, but i defer to those in the know...
