[V8] Oil Leak solved...it wasn't the head gasket after all!

Well, good news today! The mysterious oil leak has been found. Once all
the stuff on the front of the engine was removed, the lead was clearly
visible. It was an "o" ring around the base of one of the camshaft
mounts....I haven't actually seen it myself, but the wrench called to tell
me the good news.
Of course, there is always some bad news with the good news. The question
now becomes, since we have all the stuff off the front of the engine, should
we replace the waterpump. The waterpump shows NO signs of leaking. But
since we are there....well, should we or not. Probably we should, and will.
Meanwhile, it looks like the tensioner is fine, although some of the little
wheelie gizzies....well, the mech doesn't 'like' their feel, so they will be
replaced.
We are also going to pull spark plugs and look at all of that stuff....but
at least the heads don'e thave to come off!
Happy New Year!
