[V8] Is this a decent price for a timing belt job?

I bought my parts from www.thepartsconnection.com (except friction pad as noted)
on 1/20/2003 as follows:

	$55.00 Tensioner

	$80.00 Rollers 2 X $40.00 (There are two)

	$39.00 Timing Belt

	$45.00 Water Pump

	$  .50  Thermostat Seal

$21.75 Friction Pad #077109495 (dealer only)

	$241.25 TOTAL

6 hours labor!!! Must have six hands or a magic wand:) I think most will agree
it takes longer. It took me a lot longer, but I'm no pro. If it's a firm quote I
think it's a deal on labor, if it's an estimate beware of escalating costs. I
changed the front crankshaft seal ($4.00). I wish I had known enough to change
the seals between the rear half of the timing covers and the head/cam interface
as I now have an oil leak from the right side. Others have recommended the oil
pump bearing as well. Depending on condition you might need the tensioner
damper (part #077109246B) as well. Dealer replaces this part when they do one.
I reused mine. I have a dealer quote of $169.00 for this part. Don't know if
it's available aftermarket. I did the serpentine as well, but I can't find the
receipt.

I would also make sure that they own a set of the specialty tools (e.g. cam
locking plates, vibration damper holder, crank position tool).

I'd ask a few more questions before I let 'em do mine.

Jeff
