That's *exactly* the combination I'm using. And yeah, they ARE spiffy!
If you have the UFO front brakes, it takes 20mm spacers, NOT 10mm. The
rears actually don't need any spacers at all, but the track will be oddly
narrow.
I've ordered a set of four 20mm spacers plus the 20mm longer wheel bolts
from a company in the UK - they were pretty reasonable (half the price of
H&R, and yes, they are hubcentric as needed), but the postage would have
been almost $100! Fortunately, I have someone bringing them over as
carry-on luggage in a week or two (and you should hear him piss and moan
about my "damn car-in-a-box" that he has to drag onto an airplane, but he
OWES me . . . )
I was able to determine the required thickness by buying a stack of
washers, and shimming out the wheel so it would clear the "bell" of the UFO
disc. It indeed does take all of 20mm.
Anyway, I'm putting together a deal with the UK supplier of these wheel
spacers so that I will have some in stock, and can save some serious
freight because I'm buying a bunch of them, and they are coming ship
freight, not post office. (And the $100 postage was surface mail from the
UK - these sucka's are HEAVY!). I'm sourcing the lug bolts domestically,
and yes, they will be less than $3.00 each (remember you need 20!).
In the next few weeks, I'll have the spacers and make sure everything fits
properly. I'd say by mid to late February or so, I'll be able to supply
most of the common 5 by 112 Audi sizes, 5mm, 7mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm,
from stock already here, and with lug bolts - I should be able to undercut
H&R by probably 30% - we'll see.
Best Regards,
Mike Arman
