Hey guys, I'm having another problem. No hot start. The hot start
problem has materialized on this car over the last 6 months. However,
after the overheating incident it has been taking much longer to start
the car after it's been hot. I fear the excessive heat has ruined
these sensors. I've had my mechanic pull codes that point to the
crankshaft position sensor and speed sensor
Last Monday, I drove the car in to work. Worked my usual 10 hours and
in the evening I went out to the car ( which hadn't been driven since
the morning) but it wouldn't start. Car would crank and crank.
Finally, gave up and had AAA tow it to my mechanic.
Car was cold but it was raining out that day -might be possible that
rain soaked these sensors.
From previous posts these 2 are known culprits of the car not starting
when they malfunction. These are being replaced. In all likelihood
it's the sensors. My question is what other components are tied to
starting that would generate the same fault in the car not starting?
