[V8] Brake Upgrades?

I don't know Jeremy (truthfully), but I seem to recall a post by Keith after
he developed his wilwood set up that compared the G60, to the Wilwoods to
the UFO and his conclusion was that the Wilwood set up outperformed the UFOs
slightly and both outperformed the G60s by a wide margin (in terms of fade
etc.).
Certainly, whether the Wilwoods can out perform a properly set up UFO is
open to debate, but at the risk of putting words in Keith's mouth, I think
Keith would say that the Wilwoods are a definite, significant improvement
over the G60s. Remember that braking ability is not just dependent on the
swept area by the pads, but also the cooling efficiency of the calipers, and
I believe the Wilwoods are vastly superior to the G60s in dissapating heat.
I think Keith's original rationale for going with his set up is that NASCAR
or some similar racing group was limited to 15" wheels and this set up was
tried and true on the race circuit. With the Wilwood set up, you also
lighten the front end significantly and all the replacement parts will be
cheaper and easier to find when maintenance is needed.
In short, if I was sitting there with a G60 set up, I don't know if I would
rush to retrofit my car (at considerable cost) to an obsolete and expensive
set up on the belief that there were no other viable alternatives out there.
Just my $.02
