[V8] checking auto trans fluid level

My understanding is that if the tranny is overfilled or underfilled,
draining off whatever you can get out of it will leave the appropriate
amount in it to bring it back to the correct level when you install a
gallon of fluid. The engine needs to be idling with the tranny at full
operating temperature for a dipstick reading on level ground to be accurate.
