[V8] Warning - V8 Trans

I wonder if that is only after it has been moved in a forward gear.
I wonder this because it should be possible to leave the car idling
without damaging the transmission. I mean, it's necessary in some
cases and shouldn't require that the car be in gear.
If the car is shut down and then restarted and left in Park, will it
damage anything if the car is left idling for some time?
