... the directionality of an LED is the reason I opt for a low power
light bulb ... I think the one I use was a back light for the HVAC panel
on a 4k ... picked up from a junkyard for next to nothing ... with a
socket and wires attached. I simply plug the ends of the wires into the
diagnostic connectors ... perhaps I should incorporate a couple spade
lugs ...
This light with a separate jumper is all one would need to have an
emergency code reading kit to keep in the glovebox. You can include a
hardcopy of Scott's webpage for instructions on which connector pins to
plug into and the code definitions ...
