[V8] Door locks

I feel your pain.  This is a common problem with the V8 door locks.  My
driver's lock is messed up, so I installed a keyless entry long ago.
This has been working great, except my key fob is dying. :-(

For $35 a door, you can buy from Blau:

I was also thinking about modifying the 2-relay setup I used to
interface my keyless entry with the factory vacuum locks...  I used the
setup found here:

I was thinking it would be possible to use the factory alarm wires
(found in the lock mechanism which *is* working, just not the mechanical
lock) to provide the negative 2 sec. pulse on R-86 and L-85.  Currently
the alarm system provides this 2 sec pulse to lock the car, but the
electrical contact component of the keyed lock would be a nice backup to
the keyless fob...

Hello All,

I have a bit of a problem.  My drivers and passengers side door locks
have both broken; fortunately the doors unlocked befor the passengers
side doorlock broke...The drivers door has been inoperable for awhile
now...boy, I sure wish I had replaced it before now.  Besides not being
able to lock the car, the alarm arms itself every time I shut the car
off.  So, 1)where can I get replacement parts, and 2)How can I disarm
the alarm system until I get the new locks installed?  I took the door
panels off and it looks like I have the common (from a search of the
archive) failure mode in which the actuator arm has broken.
