[V8] B5 S4 Avus wheels on a V8

  Carter,

I run the Avus 17's on my V8. The only problem is
the offset
they are 45MM which sucks the rim & tire into the
wheel well. The inside lip of the rim is close to the
tie rod end but has been fine. But running 10MM
spacers will bring the rim & tire back out & get back
that aggressive stance.
If I could do it again I would have looked for a set
of the same rims that came on the S6 Avant,
the offset on those rims is 38MM which would be about
what the stock offset would be for the V8. But they
are hard to find.
You should be using 235/45/17's that will keep the
speedo correct. I'm using Conti contact II tires,
great in the summer & rain but not a good idea in the
snow!! I can send some pics of what they look like on
my car if you like?
Thanks
Ron
