[V8] vag-com info

I have been playing around with vag-com a little and have a few questions I can 
not find answers for.

First, does anyone have the list of channels that can be used with the single 
reading function? Many channels give some sort of reading, but I have no idea 
what they are. The manual does not say anything about it either.

Second, does the V8 ECU support the basic settings function?
The Bently says it does (I think) but I can not get it to work.

And third, does the V8 ECU support any of the measuring blocks? 
The manual says nothing about these either.

I think all the other ECU functions in VAG-COM apply only to newer/OBD-2 
systems. Correct?

Also, I always seem to have a error code for intermittant O2 sensor. After the 
motor warms up, it goes away but it always comes back after a cold start.
The motor seems to be running fine near as I can tell. Normal?

The only problem I am aware of at the moment is a slightly flakey (but much 
better) speedo sender, and the oil leak detector has been going off lately. (I 
get a faint wiff of burning oil from the cross pipe)
