[V8] Re: Headlight switch

Your problem well may be that the connector in the wiring harness to that
switch is contaminated at the point where you saw the meltdown on the
switch.  You cleaned up the contact stud there on the switch, but did you
do something to clean out the melted plastic that's inside the female
connector?  I got ours working again by finding some abraisive to run into
that connector (maybe rolled up emory cloth???) and then spraying an
electronics cleaner in there.  However, the lows sometimes still would go
out but come back on if I tapped on the top of the plastic surround.  The
real fix is to put in a new female connector to that stud.
