[V8] V8 Fire !

I always thought is was a bad thing to spray cold water onto a hot engine but 
I don't know where I got this idea.  I know why it could cause problems.  Any 
opinions?

P.S. I have been waiting a 3 weeks for the dealer to get my CV joint to drive 
flange gasket....they call it a washer.  I have the all the pans back on and 
tranny back too.  Just waiting for this stupid part.
