[V8] To rich and backfiring above 1700 rpm

Sorry to inject a dose of reality here.  Pull the starter or check
through the inspection hole and you'll find stripped teeth on the
flywheel.  BTDT.  When #1 son stripped 2 teeth on V8Q #1 it was driveable
for a few months, wouldn't rev or run above 2000RPM but still ran fine in
the lower ranges.  Then one day she just up and died, one mesh too many
between the starter and ring gear removed enough of what was left to keep
her from starting or running at all.
