[V8] Can't open hood

I feel foolish but...........

Hood release cable no longer operational.  I did the TB a month ago and loosened the cable when removing the front end............likely didn't take enough care to properly secure the "cable fastener" when reassembling.......was OK up until yesterday.........probably loosened.......

Is there an easy way to solve my problem?

After this, I plan to go back to mechanics 101..........no, maybe grade school.
