[V8] Can't open hood

Not opening at all, or secondary latch at the hood not working?

I had trouble with the secondary latch.  The little plastic pivot point pin
broke off, causing the handle to fall free.  I hooked the secondary latch with a
coat hanger and opened the hood.  I drilled through the plastic housing for the
handle and installed a small bolt to act as the pivot point.
