... thought I'd update the list on this ...

Well, the long awaited part arrived last week or so, and I installed it over
the weekend ... if I hadn't tweaked the clevis somehow when I was trying to
reinstall the pin it would have been a real quick fix ... did require the
removal of the footwell vent duct and the ECU mount.  The spring made an
incredible difference in the effort required to actuate the clutch ... I
suspect that the spring was ineffective for some time before it actually
fractured.  

... now all I need is a battery and a smog check and #344 should be back on
the road ...
